In the vicinity of this property is the Etruscan town of Chiusi, with its well known Etruscan Museum, one of the most important repositories of Etruscan remains in Italy. Lake Chiusi, a true paradise for bird watchers. In recent years many sporting activities have also been established at the lake: canoeing, wind surfing and sport fishing. Of historical interest at the southern end of the lake are two towers one was built by the Siennese in the XV century to challenge the armed forces of Perugia who in turn constructed their own tower. Even today the two towers indicate the border between Tuscany and Umbria. In the other direction is Chianciano Terme with its world famous Spa.
The A1 motorway in just 10 minutes away making Rome (170 km) and Florence (120 km) easily accessible. Other historic centres in the vicinity are Perugia: 66 km, Arezzo: 70 km and Siena: 86 km.
